
Join Lynne Morea once a month to watercolor in a relaxed, open-studio environment. She will demonstrate techniques and allow particpants to play with paint and enjoy an afternoon of watercolor. Lynne will bring her paints and samples of her watercolor paintings. You bring whatever supplies you have and printed copies of images for inspiration. Together you will have fun being creative.

Course Description: Join Jules Webster for a fun and informative workshop that will introducethe basics of painting on-site in a garden. In this workshop, Jules will explain how to draw a basic landscape sketch, and paint and draw in basic garden details using watercolor and colored pencil on paper. Students will leave this course with a "loose" garden painting on paper, a small "value sketch," knowledge of how to use watercolor and colored pencil, basic art composition, color theory, instructor made hand-outs, and the skills and courage to try again on their own. We'll also discuss how to select and pack portable art materials to take "on the go." All materials will be provided by the instructor.

Instructor: Mary Jane Erard Skill level: All Ages: Adults + Mature Teens 16+ After a discussion of Impressionism and viewing seascapes by Impressionist painters, students will proceed to complete two projects.
