Drawing Architecture
Date + Time: 3 Saturdays, August 22nd, August 29th, and September 5th, 2026, from 12:00pm - 2:30 pm
Want to learn the basics of drawing buildings and architecture? In this class, you'll learn linear perspective while practicing interior and exterior spaces with local artist Chelsea Younkman, who will guide you every step of the way.
In this classic form of drawing, I will teach students the basic rules of linear perspective through architectural subjects. This course is ideal for those who enjoy plein air drawing or painting, as it may include neighborhoods, commercial buildings, bridges, sidewalks, furniture, and other architectural elements within the picture plane. Students will gain a deeper understanding of one- and two-point perspective while practicing both exterior buildings and interior spaces. Join me for a fun and engaging experience learning the fundamentals of linear perspective and applying them to create a complex architectural piece.
Students should bring or buy: 16X20" Drawing Pad, HB, and 2B graphite pencils, white mars erasers, Fine and Extra fine sharpies.
Cancellation Policy: We will refund 50% for any cancellation made at least eight days before the class. After 8 days, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including illness. If you cannot attend after registration, you are welcome to gift your tuition to a friend at no charge. We do not transfer tuition from one class to another.

| Instructor Bio: | Chelsea Younkman is a master professional artist located in Sylvania, Ohio. Chelsea is currently in her fourth-year teaching high-school and middle school students at Britton/Deerfield schools. Before teaching in the school system, she was an instructor for Adrian College, Owens Community College and the University of Toledo. At these schools she primarily taught fundamental and figure drawing courses to young adults. |
