Mixed Media Printmaking

Have you wanted to experiment with combining block printing and other mediums? Now is your chance! In this 2 sesison class, we'll go over how to combine painting and printing to make one of a kind works of art.  

In our first class, we will plan out our piece, carve, and print our initial block print onto our paper. We will be working with 4x6 speedycarve blocks, and we will go over the basics of creating a successful block print on a handmade zig-zag book.

In our second class, we will have watercolor and gouache that we can use to paint in and around our block print from the week before to complete our piece. 

Students must bring or buy a 4x6 piece of speedycarve. All other supplies will be provided. 

Cancellation Policy: We will refund 50% for any cancellation made at least eight days before the class. After 8 days, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including illness. If you cannot attend after registration, you are welcome to gift your tuition to a friend at no charge. We do not transfer tuition from one class to another.
