Interested in learning the fundamentals of drawing? This two session class is the perfect place to start.
This class is designed to provide fundamental drawing instruction for those interested in learning to draw or for those interested in improving their drawing skills. Instruction will include the use of lines, shapes, proportion, and form to create realistic landscape, still life and portrait art.
Students will need to bring or buy pencils, an eraser, and a sketchbook.
Cancellation Policy: We will refund 50% for any cancellation made at least eight days before the class. After 8 days, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including illness. If you cannot attend after registration, you are welcome to gift your tuition to a friend at no charge. We do not transfer tuition from one class to another.

| Instructor Bio: | David Pett - Artist Biography I work primarily in pencil, watercolors and occasionally pastels. The subjects are varied and my technique ranges from fluid and expressive to meticulous. Growing up in Michigan, I had access to a very rich heritage of art, culture and natural beauty - the museums, rivers, lakes, rolling wooded landscapes and the people combined to inspire me to share my experiences through my art. Frankly, drawing and painting was all I ever wanted to do. For as long as I can remember art gave me a wonderful sense of pride and accomplishment that I never really got with anything else. It still does today. I still have that same passion. I still get excited talking about, looking at, and creating art. It still brings me the same elevated sense of accomplishment. Interestingly enough, even after all these years I still don't know how best to describe my art. Some of it is serious, but mostly my art is a reflection of me just doing what I love to do. |
