Art on the Go: How To Draw Everywhere

In this class, students will receive a mystery kit of curated supplies that we will take out and use “on the go” to exercise our creativity and try new mediums. Your mystery kit will contain a substrate and a mixture of supplies, and will allow you to take it with you anywhere and make art. If the day is nice, we will meet in the classroom and then go behind the Art Supply Depo to look for inspiration in the historical village. If it is rainy we'll stay in and use reference photos.

UNDERGLAZE WORKSHOP AT OWENS COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Join Jules Webster, potter and owner of The Art Supply Dep?, for a free demonstration and hands-on workshop. Jules will share tips and tricks for underglaze painting using brushes, squeeze bottles, and Mayco’s Designer Liner. Participants will practice on a provided 6x6" low-fire bisque tile using Mayco Fundamentals Underglaze and Mayco NTBR Clear One Brushing Glaze. Please note that the provided tiles should be fired at home at cone 06 (1830°F). Participants are also welcome to bring their own bisque form of a similar size if they prefer to use their own clay body and overglaze.
